PLEASE HELP

On April 10, Natasha Iverson was faced with the unimaginable when she came face to face with a murderer on the run from Sheriff’s deputies. He randomly chose the Iverson home, shooting at Natasha as she ran upstairs after her children. The killer barricaded himself on the lower floor and continued to terrorize the Iversons with random shots before they were able to escape from a second-story window with the help of law enforcement. There was an 8-hour standoff. Eventually, after firing off numerous random shots, the murderer shot and killed himself near the twins’ bedroom.

This murderer could have shot up any of our houses, but instead, Natasha’s home is the police crime scene. It is riddled with bullets and full of tear gas that can’t be cleaned out of the walls and cabinets; a downstairs bedroom the site of yet another crime. As the family tries to heal, the five of them live in two trailers on the property as their house is uninhabitable.

As a community, we are trying to help Natasha, her fiancée, her 20-year-old son, twin 17-year-old girls, and her toddler son rebuild their lives by rebuilding their home, one square foot at a time. We must raise $110,000. You can get them back on the road to recovery, at least with a roof over their heads, where they can all be together and help each other heal. Know you supported them by donating to help rebuild…a new bedroom…or a screen porch—one square foot at a time—for the Iverson family. Our neighbor needs our help. Will you be there for them? 

We can’t control what happened that day, but we can control how our community comes together to support one another. Please consider a donation of ANY amount. This could’ve happened to anyone in our neighborhood, but this random act of violence violated our own neighbor, the Iverson family.
